To get to the dialog below: option + click on "Scaled", enable "Show low resolution modes". I've tried all four USB-C ports on the MBP 3360 x 1890) at 120 Hz works, but is obviously not ideal due to not matching the monitor's native resolution. If you are on macOS 10.15.2 and above, created custom resolutions, and enabled SIP again after creating the custom resolution, I advise you to disable SIP a last time so that SwitchResX resets your settings to its new format. 2019 MacBook Pro w/ Radeon Pro 555X + 4K 120 Hz external monitor not working Attempting to output 4K (3840 x 2160) at 120 Hz results in a blank screen. I used SwitchResX to OC the screen in my Mid 2012 15' MacBook Pro, and I was able to get it up to 90Hz or so without issue. Apple has specified that the HDMI 2.0 interface on the M1 Mac Mini only supports 4K resolution, while the Thunderbolt port goes up to 6K, both at a peak refresh rate of 60Hz. Have you tried to see if you get 4K60Hz with a different Monitor.
